Shrek Smash Mouth All Star Graduation Card (PLAYS ACTUAL SONG)
Size: 7 inches x 5 inches
Sound: "Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me
I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed
She was looking kind of dumb with her finger and her thumb
In the shape of an "L" on her forehead
Hey now, you're an all-star, get your game on, go play
Hey now, you're a rock star, get the show on, get paid
And all that glitters is gold
Only shooting stars break the mold"
Background: At the time of your graduation, you can expect to receive a lot of different advice from family, parents, teachers, and siblings. Everyone will try to explain to you what you have to do next i.e continue your education or get a job, etc... Luckily, we made this funny Shrek graduation card to remind the new grad that all of that advice DOESN'T MATTER. All that matters is your diploma, now go make the best out of your life.
The computer animated film Shrek was released on May 18th, 2001 followed by 3 official sequels to the franchise including Shrek 2 (2004), Shrek the Third (2007) and Shrek Forever After (2010). The films feature the green ogre Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers) as the main protagonist, his companion Donkey (voiced by Eddie Murphy) and his love interest princess ogre Fiona (voiced by Cameron Diaz). The movies are a parody of children’s fantasies films, specifically those produced by Disney.
The song "All Star" is by American rock band Smash Mouth. It was released on May 4, 1999, as the second single from their album Astro Lounge It is heavily used in the Shrek franchise to promote the series, especially during the first film's opening credits introducing the title character. Devotion towards the song has been considered a factor in the Internet's obsession towards the series and titular character. In turn, it has since been dubbed a popular meme which made a comeback in 2017.
