Background: Birthdays are great, however the older you get, the higher the risk you'll fall and bust your ass. It's not funny. Falls can lead to broken bones, the need for wheelchairs, and worst of all, youtube videos with the potential to go viral and be shown on late night tv. Give this funny parody happy birthday card to the oldest people you know and prepare them for what old age brings.
"I've fallen, and I can't get up!" is a famous catchphrase of the late 1980s and early 1990s popular culture based upon a line from a United States-based television commercial.
This line was spoken in a television commercial for a emergency medical alarm button company called LifeCall. It contained a scene where an elderly woman, identified as "Mrs. Fletcher", uses the medical alert pendant after having fallen in the bathroom. After falling, Mrs. Fletcher speaks the phrase "I've fallen, and I can't get up!", after which the dispatcher informs her that he is sending help.
Despite the serious situation, the bad acting contributed to the humor and made "I've fallen... and I can't get up!" a recognized, universal punchline that applied to many comedic situations, appearing in memes and pop culture.
A hilarious birthday card to gift the oldest people you know and prepare them for what old age brings. Plays the phrase "I've Fallen And Can't Get Up" but does not include the LifeAlert Medical Emergency System.
