Background: Ever been to a party or dinner that was just lackluster even though it was a celebration? Just because it might be a special day or occasion, doesn't mean that everything is going well. Even days that are going perfect could use something to make them legendary. You'll have the balloons, the cake, the decorations, the people, and yet there's a missing presence. We figured it out. It's Dat Boi that was missing.

On April 3rd, 2016, the Facebook page Fresh Memes About the Mojave Desert and Other Delectable Cuisines posted an image of a green frog riding a unicycle captioned: “here come dat boi!!!!!! o shit waddup!.” The frog graphic was taken from the Animation Factory Essential Collection 3 shown below.

On May 3rd, 2016, YouTuber ZimoNitrome posted a video featuring computerized vocals rapping about Dat Boi over Soulja Boy's "Crank Dat" instrumental. No one is clear about what the meme truly represents. It has been at the center of heated Internet debates with "Dat Boi" lovers continuously using it and the Meme OGs arguing that it is not a true meme, that it is only a meme because people forced it to be. Basically, the meme OGs like their memes like hipsters like their food: organic. But in the mean time, here come dat boi.

Ladies love him and the fellas respect him. When you spot him, you already know his name. He doesn't have to say much, he lets his actions do the talking. He's the meme version of Samuel L. Jackson, which means he's smooth as a motherfucker.
